Screwfix to open new Coventry and Monmouth stores

Screwfix is to open a second Coventry store later this month, creating 16 jobs.

The new branch will open on Thursday 15th September, at Pilot Trade Centre in WIllenhall. The 

Tony Bolton, store manager of the new branch, said: “We’ve created 16 brand new vacancies and have employed local people from around the Coventry area. 

“Our new team includes people of all ages and levels of experience, but the most important requirement is that they have the right attitude and can offer superb customer service.

“Everyone here is really looking forward to the store opening.”

Local tradespeople and DIY-ers are being invited to demonstrate their professional skills in a free-to-enter screw drilling competition. The person who completes the challenge in the fastest time will win a 40-inch smart TV.

Monmouth

Screwfix will also open its first Monmouth store on September 15.

The new store is located on the Mayhill Industrial Estate and will create 14 jobs.

Phill Dolton, manager of the Monmouth store, said. “We’ve created 14 new vacancies and have employed local people from around the Monmouth area. Our new team includes people of all ages and levels of experience, but the most important requirement is that they have the right attitude and can offer superb customer service. Everyone here is really looking forward to the store opening.”

He added: “I’m confident we’ve got a great location here in Monmouth. My team and I have already been out and about getting to know local businesses and tradesmen and we’ve all been struck by how friendly everyone has been.”
