Screwfix Submits Plans For Another Irish Store
The next Screwfix store in the Republic of Ireland looks likely to be located in Mullingar, County Westmeath.
A planning application to develop a property on Mullingar Business Park was filed earlier this month by TBP Planning and Development Consultants, on behalf of Geared Up Ltd. Geared Up Limited has no website, but Companies House filings show that its directors are John Mewett, Screwfix CEO, and Max Britten, Screwfix Finance Director.
The application requests the use of a site for as a warehouse with ancillary trade counters, for the sale of building-related goods principally to trade customers.
The Westmeath Examiner contacted Screwfix for comment and was told: “Screwfix have no further detail at this time.”
The application is understood to be due for review by 30th September 2020.
