Screwfix's expansion is going from strength to strength, with three new openings in the space of a week.

The new Chesterton store, located on the Chesterton Parkhouse Industrial Estate, opened last week. It has created 13 jobs for local people and joins two other Screwfix units in the area - Hanley and Tunstall.

Store manager, Brett Whitehouse, started as a sales assistant at the Hanley store seven years ago.  He said: "We tend to get a really good reaction when we open up a new branch.

"Chesterton is a really good location and already we have seen a mix of customers from those in the trade to people doing DIY."

Next week will see the opening of a new store in Kidderminster. The branch, located on Birmingham Road, will be the town's second. It opens on Thursday, February 16th.

Store manager, Joe Homer, commented: “We’ve created 15 brand new vacancies and have employed local people from around the Kidderminster area.

“Our new team includes people of all ages and levels of experience, but the most important requirement is that they have the right attitude and can offer superb customer service. Everyone here is really looking forward to the store opening.”

Also opening on the 16th is a new Northwich store, on the city's Leicester Street.

Store manager, Gaz Evans, said: “We’ve created 15 new vacancies and have employed local people from around the Northwich area,”

“Our new team includes people of all ages and levels of experience, but the most important requirement is that they have the right attitude and can offer superb customer service.

“Everyone here is really looking forward to the store opening.”
