Screwfix opens another new branch

Screwfix are continuing their rapid UK store expansion plan, with another new branch, this time their first in Truro.

The outlet on Newham Road on the outskirts of the city, is due to open its doors on 3rd November has created 14 new jobs. Manager Dean Gerrans said he was proud of the contribution the new store has made to employment figures in the region. He said: "We've created 14 brand new vacancies and have employed local people from around the Truro area.

"Our new team includes people of all ages and levels of experience, but the most important requirement is that they have the right attitude and can offer superb customer service. Everyone here is really looking forward to the store opening."

As we know Screwfix is an in-store, direct and online retailer of trade tools and customers can now take advantage of their one minute 'click and collect' service.

Tradesmen and DIY enthusiasts have been invited to the official store opening on 3rd November and are being encouraged to demonstrate their professional screw-drilling techniques in a free to enter competition, with the fastest time on the day winning a 40in smart TV. As well as competitions, between the 3rd and 6th November, all product ranges will carry a 10% discount, on-top of the usual store and product specific offers.

Mr Gerrans added: "I'm confident that we've got a great location here in Truro. My team and I have already been out and about getting to know local businesses and tradespeople and we've all been struck by how friendly everyone has been. At Screwfix we pride ourselves on meeting the needs of today's busy tradespeople and serious DIYers with a speedy, reliable and convenient service, plus quality value-for-money products. We're keen to welcome tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts from Truro and the surrounding local areas to our new store."
