Rotherham B&Q to close

Local press has confirmed that B&Q is to close its store in Parkgate, Rotherham.

A B&Q spokesperson said: 

"We can confirm that staff at B&Q Rotherham have been told their store is set to close in June.  We will endeavour to find alternative positions for as many staff as possible.”

The store has been open for seven years, having relocated there in 2009, from a unit on Greasbrough Road in the city.

B&Q has confirmed that its Brampton and Sheffield stores at Cortonwood Retail Park and Queen’s Road, respectively, would continue to trade.
