Today [24th March] B&Q has announced that a husband-and-wife duo from Keighley have been named the winners of its Installer of the Year Award.
In its first year, B&Q’s The Installer of the Year Award is designed to recognise exceptional talent from its pool of kitchen and bathroom installers and shine a light on the individuals working with B&Q to help millions of people to improve their homes every year.
Nominated by their local B&Q store in Keighley, winners Chris and Debbie Wright are the founders of family-run business - Ambience of Yorkshire, which designs and installs quality kitchens and bathrooms.
Having been in the business for over 20 years, Chris and Debbie caught the B&Q judges eyes for their unique partnership, expert and professional ability and unwavering enthusiasm to improve the homes and lives of theirs and B&Qs customers.
Chris, who is an electrician by trade, and Debbie who handles everything from joinery and design concepts to customer service queries have built an impressive business together, consistently going the extra mile for their customers.
John Eason, B&Q Regional Director for the north, ROI and Channel Islands said: “It was fantastic to be able to have this moment with our Installer of the Year winners Debbie and Chris today and present them with their well-deserved trophy.
“We had so many great nominations from our stores across the country, but Debbie and Chris really stood out to the judges for their partnership, professionalism, and always putting their customers first. Congratulations to Debbie and Chris!”
260 Installer of the Year nominees were put forward by their local B&Q stores across the country, each receiving a cash prize and the winners taking home the Installer of the Year trophy and prize pot.
The runners up were Grant Westover, nominated by the B&Q Worthing store and Matthew Henderson, nominated by the B&Q Cannock store. Both were recognised for their natural passion to help customers and commitment to upskilling the next generation by working with apprenticeships to encourage more young people into the trade industry.
