Kingfisher's Response To The Ukraine Crisis

KGF Ukraine

As events unfold in Ukraine, our teams across Kingfisher are working to provide urgent support to those most impacted by the conflict. We have made a donation to the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal on behalf of Kingfisher and our retail banners to support the relief efforts in Ukraine. We have also made a donation to the UN Refugee Agency, UK for UNHCR, which has worked in Ukraine since 1994.

In addition, our teams in Poland and Romania, as neighbouring countries to Ukraine, have quickly offered their support. Brico Dépôt Romania is fundraising and donating products such as beds, nappies, torches and personal hygiene products. The Brico Foundation is also providing donations to the Romanian Red Cross as well as the homeless charity FARA Foundation to help provide support for refugees at local customs, transit centres and the convoys entering the country.

Castorama Poland is providing power generators, chargers and torches, while colleagues from local stores are volunteering to help refugees at the border. In Poland, stores and head offices have also been collecting donations for medical supplies and other essential items for refugees and people in Ukraine. Support is being provided to colleagues who have taken refugees into their homes. The Castorama Foundation is working with the Polish Red Cross, Polish Mobile Clinic and the Polish-Ukrainian Cooperation Foundation to provide donations to support refugees including through the renovation of refugee centres.

In parallel, we have taken the decision to stop selling the limited number of products that are directly sourced from Russian and Belarussian suppliers across the Group.

We will continue to look for ways that we can help the humanitarian effort and offer support to our colleagues impacted by the crisis.
