Bunnings Takes On Amazon With The Launch Of MarketLink
Bunnings has launched an online marketplace after announcing its intentions to do so back in October.
The home and lifestyle platform, named MarketLink, is accessible via the Bunnings website and sells products from Trusted Sellers that aren't available in Bunnings stores.
Bunnings states that its Trusted Sellers share its core values of value for money, high-quality products and excellent service. Items will be sold and shipped directly from the third parties.
Current product categories include:
Bedroom, Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchenware, Cookware, Tableware, Home Decor, Electronics, Fresh Flowers, Small Appliances, Laundry Appliances and Kitchen Appliances.
Michael Schneider, MD of Bunnings, told The Australian: “MarketLink was specifically created to meet our customers’ evolving home and lifestyle needs,”
“We wanted to expand our online offer to provide our customers with a greater choice of products, everything from the front gate to the back fence, and now through MarketLink there are thousands of new products on bunnings.com.au.”
"There are obvious things that make sense for Bunnings to be able to provide to make your home better but there are other things you might want to put in your home that don’t make sense for Bunnings to keep — so that’s the way we have defined the market we are playing in,"
