Bunnings’ team members have already been busy ahead of today’s Penge store opening, helping with projects in the Penge area. These included planting garden beds at St Christopher's Hospice, painting garden sheds at Harris Academy Nursery and creating an outdoor garden area for residents to enjoy at Melvin Hall Community Centre.
Penge Complex Manager, Andy Leontiou, said: “All our team members have worked really hard to get the store ready for opening and have undertaken many hours of training to make sure we have the expertise to help customers with home or garden projects.”
To celebrate the opening, Mark Bright, ex-professional footballer is joining a welcome breakfast for team members.
Mark said: “I’ve had a great morning opening the store and celebrating with Bunnings team members. It’s obvious everyone here is a committed team player and I’ve no doubt that the store will be a huge success.”
The store will host two weekends of events on 10-11 and 17-18 March, where customers can enjoy a range of family activities including the famous Bunnings Sausage Sizzle, face-painting, balloon modelling and even join Peppa Pig & Mummy for a Story Time session (see in store for details).
