Bunnings Encourages Customers To Buy DIY Items Before Easter Weekend
Bunnings is encouraging customers to shop now for any DIY or home improvement goods that they might need ahead of the long Easter weekend, so as to avoid queues later in the week.
Limited numbers of customers are allowed in Bunnings stores at any one time, therefore the retailer is asking customers to get what they need in the next few days and reduce the number of customers queueing for goods during the busy weekend. The retailer has already noted high demand for gardening goods and seedlings and a survey commissioned by Bunnings showed that two-thirds of Australians have at least one home-improvement project that needs completing.
Mike Schneider, MD of Bunnings, said: “We know the importance of customers being able to access the products they need,”
“Whether it’s for urgent home repairs and maintenance, supplies for tradies to keep their businesses running or items for home projects to keep people active.”
“Shopping solo wherever possible, planning ahead to shop more efficiently, observing social distancing and product restrictions and making cashless payments.
“These actions are more important than ever, and we would encourage customers to think ahead about what they need and get their shopping done sensibly over the next week.”
