Blaze destroys Bunnings Warehouse in Perth

On 26th February a devastating fire completely destroyed an iconic Bunnings Warehouse store in Inglewood, near Perth Western Australia.
The fire was originally reported at 9pm on the Monday and at one stage threatened residents and nearby homes and needed more than 100 firefighters to contain it. At one stage, the flames reached over eight metres in height and local residents had to be evacuated, due to the threat of exploding gas canisters and toxic chemicals that had been released as the roof collapsed.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated and the damage is already estimated to be in the region of $5m Australian Dollars.
