Rothley Explores Upcycling Trend With Launch Of RUK Profiles & Sheets

With three lockdowns encouraging a boom in DIY and decorating, many are still on the hunt for more ways to refresh their homes on a budget. Bloggers and interior influencers social media channels are full to the brim with “hacks” and reels of “how to” content, aimed at helping their growing audience get a high-end luxury look without the high-end price tag. One of the ways people are being encouraged to get around these overhead costs is to upcycle old items rather than replacing them completely. Rothley have been exploring this new trend for upcycling with the launch of their new range of profiles and sheets, RUK. Their PVC profiles are also produced with a calcium content, reducing the amount of plastic needed, making them mimic the look and feel of stone worktops or floor tiles.

Colour matching, especially in kitchens, has long been the bane of the diy’ers life. Stores have little to show for the interior’s trends of patinaed brass and copper or matt black. Instead, they are greeted with an endless sea of chrome and gloss white.
