Rothley Shortlisted At Prestigious Business Awards

FINALIST - MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS CAMPAIGN OF THE YEARS 725

Hardware specialist Rothley has been nominated for high profile regional awards in recognition of its growth during a period of global turbulence.

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce has shortlisted the Wolverhampton business for two prizes at its annual awards ceremony later this month.

Rothley, which specialises in decorative ironmongery items such as handrails, curtain poles, utensil rails, hairpin legs, shelving and brackets, has 190 years of experience in supplying the trade and recently expanded with dedicated manufacturing in China and an office in Australia.

The company is up for the Marketing and Communications Campaign of the Year for its work with social media influencers specialising in the DIY and upcycling spaces - including @the_shoestring_home, @our_bears_home and @wilsonresidence - to promote its range of hairpin legs in a mix of household settings.

The campaign, which ran for three months, resulted in 18 pieces of influencer content that reached 445,541 people via social media.

Rothley is also shortlisted for the coveted Small Business of the Year award, in recognition of its continued growth against a backdrop of uncertainty and upheaval in business supply chains, cost of materials and shrinking customer budgets due to the cost of living crisis.

Stuart Hobbs, Managing Director of Rothley UK, says: “We have taken a conscious decision to head into this period looking for innovation and growth, rather than keeping our heads down until the storm passes.

“That is why it’s particularly pleasing to be shortlisted for awards that recognise the results we have been able to achieve for the business through these significant changes.

“Rothley will continue to push forward, looking for solutions that give our customers the best products and services, as the landscape changes.”

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce awards will take place at Wolverhampton Racecourse on October 14.
