Poundland launches first sale
Poundland has launched a sale for the first time, reducing prices on core items to 50p.
Historically, Poundland has only reduced goods when clearing stock, but this is the first time the discount retailer has cut prices by half on core items which include biscuits, custard, pasta sauce, popcorn, soup, toothpaste and other toiletries,
"No-one loves a bargain more than Poundland customers and they're asking us to do more,” Poundland trading director Barry Williams said.
"This 50 pence event to kick off the New Year is just the start of exciting times at Poundland as we work even harder to deliver on that promise in the months ahead."
The sale runs from the 1st to 31st January.
