Next To Stop Selling Online In Russia
Next has joined the ranks of retailers who are closing their Russian operations following the country's invasion of Ukraine.
The British retailer does not have a store presence in Russia, but operates online, with orders fulfilled from a distribution hub in the country. Next stopped sending stock to the hub last week, and staff are understood to have been told over the weekend that the operation will be winding down in an orderly way in the coming days.
The Russian website is still active at the time of writing, but will be switched off in the next few days.
Around 160 staff are thought to be affected by the closure of the business, according to The Telegraph.
Online sales in Russia account for a very small percentage of Next's turnover.
