Kingfisher France And Mr.Bricolage Announce Purchasing Partnership

Kingfisher France and Mr.Bricolage SA have announced a purchasing partnership agreement after commencing exclusive negotiations on March 21, 2023.

The cooperation agreement results in the creation of a joint company, Unio, which is expected to be operational for annual trade negotiations this autumn. This partnership aims to strengthen ties with common national and international markets, to create added value and new business opportunities.

In accordance with legislation, the Kingfisher France (Castorama and Brico Dépôt) and Mr.Bricolage brands will remain competitors, maintaining their own commercial policies and their independence.

Kingfisher, a European DIY and home improvement group, is present in France through its Castorama and Brico Dépôt brands, with more than 21,000 employees and 218 points of sale. Castorama and Brico Dépôt achieved a turnover of £4.452 billion in the 2022-2023 financial year. 

The Mr.Bricolage group, which develops well-known brands Mr.Bricolage and Les Briconautes, is the independent trade specialist in local DIY in France. As of January 1, 2023, the Group had 977 points of sale, under banners or affiliates, including 74 stores located internationally in 10 countries. Mr.Bricolage SA is listed on Euronext Growth Paris (ISIN code: FR0004034320 - ALMRB). In 2022, the business volume of the networks of the Mr.Bricolage Group amounted to nearly 2.4 billion euros.
