Kingfisher consolidates media spend with UK agency
Following a competitive pitch, B&Q's owner Kingfisher, has retained MEC as their UK media agency and expanded their relationship to include five additional European markets including Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal and Romania.

In the UK, the Kingfisher account is currently worth £40m and this will expand to £60m including the new markets.
At the same time, Kingfisher has retained sister Group M company Maxus for their Russian media account, and appointed another Group M agency Mindshare to handle the Kingfisher business in Poland.
All three agencies will work on both offline and online media in the majority of the markets. Kingfisher is still working with some digital agencies.
