Castorama Poland Opens 84th Store
Castorama Poland opened its 84th store in February 2021, creating over 100 jobs for the local community. The store, in the city of Starogard Gdański in northern Poland, will offer nearly 30,000 products for the construction, renovation and decoration of homes and gardens.
In particular, the store features Castorama’s most modern showroom installations to provide inspiration for customers’ kitchen and bathroom projects. Customers can use the digital visualisation tool to plan their kitchens – accessible online from in-store or at home – and choose instant delivery and assembly. Customers will also find the latest home improvement solutions, such as smart home products, high-tech eco-friendly water and heat recovery systems, and Castorama’s new Atomia storage ranges. One of Kingfisher’s own exclusive brands, Atomia offers a myriad of storage solutions that can fit into the most difficult spaces, with a range of accessories to suit most styles. Own exclusive brand development is one of the ways that Kingfisher empowers its distinct retail banners, while supporting them with the collective strengths of the wider Kingfisher business.
The store is adapted to the needs of people with disabilities, with allocated parking spaces near the entrance to the building and no thresholds or stairs inside. There is also a wheelchair available for customer use.
Reflecting the growing number of customers shopping online, and Kingfisher’s strategy of putting stores at the centre of its e-commerce offer, the store offers a click & collect service with customers able to pick up their order within two hours of placing it. A home delivery service is also available.
