Bunnings UK&I Head of IT quits after 18 months
Retail Week has picked up the news that Head of IT transformation at Bunnings UK&I, Henrietta Baring has quit the DIY retailer to join Dixons Carphone as its new IT director.
According to a spokesperson from Bunnings, she left a couple of months ago and we understand that she has already joins Dixons Carphone Warehouse in a newly-created role looking after products and application development.
She had been with Bunnings’ UK & Ireland business for just 18 months, and was responsible for the digital transformation of Homebase when it was acquired by Wesfarmers last year. Prior to her role at Homebase/Bunnings, she was head of IT, commercial, trading and supply chain at Argos.
In August, Bunnings announced a loss of £54m, last month Wesfarmers announced that sales at the combined Bunnings and Homebase business had declined 17.5% year on year, whilst the Homebase transactional website, was out of action for almost two months.
