Bathstore to trial concessions in two Next Home and Garden stores
Bathstore is to open retail concessions in the Shoreham and Ipswich branches of Next Home and Garden in a trial that could potentially lead to further collaborations. However, Bathstore is keen to stress that no additional concessions have been confirmed.
At the Shoreham concession, Bathstore will occupy a 1,000sq ft space showcasing a number of bathroom displays, while in the Ipswich store it will have a smaller format concession of 350sq ft.
This latest move comes after British Ceramic Tile (BCT) signed a deal with the Bathstore to become its sole supplier of tiles, joining JTC Furniture, which will be supplying splashback panels to the firm.
This will be the first time Bathstore has sold tiles and BCT’s chief executive Tony Taylor described the deal as a “major win for the business and a significant opportunity for growth”.
Bathstore chief executive Gary Favell told kbbreview that the tiles were launched in January and that he has been pleased with the sales so far and added that the brand was also to start offering customers installations on a six-month trial basis in a bid to offer “the whole package”.
“We’ve always offered bathrooms, but we want to offer more,” he said. “Why not complete the service?”
