Basingstoke announced as Bunnings No.12

Homebase Basingstoke

The Homebase store on Winchester Road, Basingstoke has been confirmed as the location for the twelfth Bunnings Warehouse to open on UK soil.

Home improvement and garden retailer Bunnings has announced plans to revamp the Basingstoke store later this year, creating more than 48 new full and part-time jobs. In June they announced they would be doubling the size of the pilot store programme for 2017, from 10 to 20 stores. Since then locations in Weston-super-mare (9th), Harlow in Essex (10th) and Rotherham (11th) have been announced.

Bunnings are planning to increase team members at the store to 107, who will all receive hundreds of hours of training in both product knowledge and specialist tasks such as paint mixing. Richard Southworth, complex manager at Bunnings Warehouse Basingstoke, said: “It is a great time to join the Bunnings Warehouse team here in Basingstoke. There are roles available across all areas, with hours to suit.

“We want to build a high-quality team so we can build strong business foundations for the future.”
