'Garden Centre By Homebase' Is Now Open In 18 Branches Of The Range

The Range Christchurch - Garden Centre by Homebase

In social media posts, Homebase has announced that it the 'Garden Centre by Homebase' concept is now available within 18 branches of The Range, and more are set to open in the coming weeks. Three new garden centres will open tomorrow and several more are set to open next month.

CDS Superstores, parent company of The Range and wilko, acquired the Homebase brand and up to 70 stores after Homebase fell into administration in late 2024.

In December 2024, The Range confirmed its intention to convert three Homebase stores into a new 'superstore' format, featuring a Homebase-branded garden centre offering. The first three superstores opened In January 2025, in Birmingham, Christchurch and Glasgow.

In January 2025, The Range announced plans to roll out up to 10 new format superstores per month in former Homebase stores, featuring the 'Garden Centre by Homebase' concept.

The Homebase Facebook post said:

"EXCITING NEWS! 18 brand-new & exclusive 'Garden Centres by Homebase' have officially opened inside The Range superstores across the UK!

"From Pollokshaws in Glasgow to Newton Abbot in Devon – and plenty more in between! More openings and exciting Homebase updates coming soon... Stay tuned!"

Opening on Friday 28th February:

  • Oxford

Confirmed March openings:

  • Bodmin 
  • High Wycombe
  • Selby
  • Nutgrove, Dublin
  • Edinburgh
  • Horsham
  • Ruislip
  • Maidenhead
  • Harrogate
  • Santry, Dublin

'Garden Centre by Homebase' is available in the following stores:

  • Pollokshaws, Glasgow
  • Ashbourne
