What Will The Horticulture Industry Look Like In 2030?
The HTA conference, in September, is an important opportunity for business leaders to step back from their day to day challenges and peer over the horizon.
It is the time to consider, “What should we be doing today to be ready for environmental, technological and social changes which are set to transform our sector?”
The HTA Conference will ask:
- What will our industry look like?
- How will the accelerating pace of change impact the way we live?
- What does the fourth industrial revolution look like?
- How will automation, artificial intelligence and the metaverse change the world we live in?
HTA chairman James Barnes said, “We will be looking at the long-term drivers of change. Horizon planning is becoming more and more important in a world where we are looking at a tipping point in the rate of change.”
The HTA Conference 2022 will be held at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham on 14th September. It will be an opportunity to find out the answers to these questions, network with industry peers and enjoy a day of insights into 2030.
Speakers include:
Josh Baines, Foresight Factory who will provide a macro view of what the environment we live in will look like.
Keynote Speaker, Simon Reeve, British author, journalist, adventurer, documentary filmmaker. He will discuss how he sees the planet looking in 2030 and how the UK may be affected by this ‘big picture’.
Economist, Vicky Pryce, will provide forecasts and predictions for the economy and the impact to businesses in 2030.
