The Range is opening a brand new store in Wigan, Greater Manchester.

The new branch will open at 9am on Friday 29th November, on Parsonage Retail Park in Leigh, two weeks after The Food Warehouse - an Iceland Foods trading fascia - opens its doors.

Eighty full- and part-time jobs will be created at The Range, which features an Iceland Foods concession, a café and an outdoor garden centre, in addition to a wide range of home and leisure goods. Thirty jobs are understood to have been created at The Food Warehouse.

Barnfield Construction worked on the £3.9 million retail development which comprised of a 38,000 sq ft unit for The Range and a 12,500 sq ft unit for The Food Warehouse.

Chris Dawson, owner and founder of The Range, said: “Opening a new store is always an exciting moment for the company and the Leigh superstore is no exception”.

He added, “The job provision that comes with the new store should be a great boost to the local area. We hope that the people of Leigh, and the surrounding areas, will be delighted with this news”.
