The Range Announces Three New Format Stores

• Homebase stores in Stroud, Leicester and Blandford Forum to reopen as The Range Superstores, with integrated Homebase Garden Centres at the end of January  

CDS Superstores, parent company of The Range and wilko, has confirmed the next wave of openings for its new-format superstores, following the acquisition of the Homebase brand and up to 70 stores.  

Following the announcement that it will launch these new concepts in six former Homebase stores across the country including Pollokshaws, Glasgow; Christchurch, Bournemouth; Kings Heath, Birmingham; Newton Abbot; Felixstowe and Blyth, The Range has announced three additional locations: Stroud, Putney Road, Leicester and Blandford Forum.  

These rebranded locations will officially open on 31^st January, offering customers a fresh shopping experience as The Range Superstores, combining the exceptional product variety The Range is known for with the home improvement expertise of Homebase and feature ‘Garden Centres by Homebase’. 

CDS plans to roll out up to 10 new superstores per month, with a goal of transforming up to 70 Homebase locations into this new format and securing up to 1,600 jobs throughout 2025. The Range has prioritised retaining and transferring team members from the acquired Homebase locations, ensuring continuity of employment for local communities.
