The Furniture Ombudsman Unveils New identity
For over 25 years The Furniture Ombudsman has offered a range of services to its members and their customers, providing peace of mind for consumers and supporting businesses to achieve solutions avoiding possible litigation for unresolved complaints. Furthermore, the Ombudsman continues to work collaboratively with the retail, home improvement and other sectors to improve customer service standards.
After a period of consultation with senior government officials and the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), The Furniture Ombudsman has announced that as of today (5th August) it is changing its name to The Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman (FHIO).
The aim of the rebrand is to better reflect the Ombudsman's long-established presence in the furniture sector and to better represent its substantial and ever-growing member base in the home improvement sector. In support of this, both the FHIO and the Dispute Resolution Ombudsman (DRO) websites have undergone an extensive redesign complemented by brand new logos for both organisations.
Significant website enhancements - for the benefit of members and their customers - include:
- Consumers can raise disputes with FHIO online in a few simple steps and track and monitor the progress of their case, alleviating stress and worry at a difficult time.
- Members can track and respond to complaints and queries through a newly launched portal, saving time and valuable resources.
- Businesses can now join the Ombudsman online, meaning they and their consumers benefit from them becoming a member of the scheme.
- Inspections: FIHO has developed a new virtual inspection service for both consumers and businesses.
