Solar Panel Sales Rise By 107% At ManoManoUK

ManoMano UK has seen sales of solar panels increase by 107% the first month of 2023* as the public aims to reduce their energy bills amidst rising costs, whilst also protecting the environment in the process.   

The DIY and home improvement marketplace has also seen sales of autonomous solar kits rise by 120% in the new year, as the demand for renewable energy continues to grow. 

The addition of solar panels on domestic and commercial rooftops has seen a surge in popularity as it provides an inexhaustible amount of energy that can sufficiently support in powering any building. With rising energy costs, the use of photovoltaics allows households to rely less on their utility company for supplying the power they need to run home and business appliances, in turn helping them save money in the long run. 

However, as a renewable source of power, solar energy also plays an important role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating climate change, which continues to remain a key focus for the UK. The continuous rise in renewable energy will play a major part in reaching the UK government’s target of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050**.  

To help drive the UK’s Net Zero Strategy, the Government Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy announced targets of a five-fold increase in the UKs solar capacity by 2035, rising from 14GW to 126GW***, and ManoMano is aiming to be a key driver in helping increase this solar output within Britain.
