Oak Furnitureland Launches New Flooring Collection

Floor Zone Oak Furnitureland
  • Four showrooms redesigned to inspire and enhance the shopping experience

  • First exclusive collection of hardwood flooring launched

  • New app, integrating Augmented Reality (AR) capability, will help customers bring Oak Furnitureland furniture to life in their own homes

Oak Furnitureland, Britain’s biggest hardwood furniture retailer, announces the launch of a bespoke collection of hardwood flooring in four of its showrooms as it expands its product offering to customers.

From 26th December, Oak Furnitureland stores in Speke, Cheltenham, Farnborough and Wednesbury will be unveiling an inspiring new design featuring styled roomsets that create the look and feel of a real home. New inspiration areas will see an eclectic but complementary mix of hardwood furniture ranges, sofas and armchairs displayed alongside one another, featuring soft interiors and accessories as finishing touches.

This aims to bring to life the brand’s quality curated ranges and enhance the shopping experience.

Customers will be able to discover the retailer’s exclusive new collection of hardwood flooring that will be displayed throughout the showrooms, where it has been laid throughout the entire ground floor* for customers to see in full, and better imagine how it will look in their own homes. It will also be complemented by a dedicated flooring consultation area.

The new engineered hardwood flooring collection features a selection of Natural and Antique toned shades of wood, in a variety of finishes, and in fixed, mixed and herringbone length planks. All will be available to browse and buy in the four redesigned showrooms.

To further integrate and enhance the online and in store customer shopping experience, Oak Furnitureland has launched a brand new app. When used alongside QR codes, which are featured on every range displayed in the showrooms, customers can easily scan and save products they like to their wishlist in the app. The AR technology then helps them bring projections of these cabinetry and sofa products to life in their own homes.

The redesign and introduction of the flooring collection currently applies to four showrooms, with plans already underway to expand this shopping format and product range to further stores in the coming year.

Alex Fisher, Chief Executive of Oak Furnitureland commented: “As a brand, we put our customers at the heart of everything we do, which is why it was important for us to carefully develop our showrooms to bring our furniture to life in an authentic way that our customers can relate to.

“Customers will discover our flooring across the entire ground floor of our own showrooms, not just on a small display board, so they’re really able to see the quality and discover how our flooring looks when it’s actually laid. We’ve incorporated different configurations and set the flooring amongst finished roomsets in a variety of styles, to really demonstrate how it will look in real homes.

“Coupled with our new app and AR technology, we believe these four showrooms will create a more seamless shopping experience for our customers, bringing to life our whole home offer, which we will be introducing to more of our showrooms in the new year.”
