New B&Q opens in Redditch
THE Mayor of Redditch, Councillor Pattie Hill, a former B&Q staff member, visited her local B&Q store last Friday for the official opening of its brand new shopping experience.
The store on Jinnah Road in Smallwood was the scene of much celebration at the weekend as customers and their families enjoyed a piece of cake and glass of bubbly while taking part in a whole host of activities and entertainment for the big reveal.
The Mayor said: “As an ex-B&Q staff member, I was delighted to receive an invitation to officially reopen the Redditch store. I’m sure the people of Redditch will truly enjoy the store’s brand new offering.”
The home improvement and garden retailer chose the Jinnah Road store, in Smallwood, to launch a new range of products, a unique and brand new Valspar paint mixing desk offering paint in up to 2.2 million colours, and a click and collect service which will give customers 24 hours access to more than 19,000 products seven days a week.
For trade customers, the Tradepoint counter will also offer goods from hundreds of quality brands.
B&Q Redditch store manager, Mark Fountain, said: “We’re really excited about the launch of the new B&Q Redditch and look forward to welcoming our customers, old and new.
"In the meantime, despite the construction works, my team are doing a fantastic job making sure our customers can get everything they need to make their homes a better place to live.”
