MRI Software Shows Footfall Impact Of England-Denmark Match
MRI Software, a leading provider of retail and property technology solutions, that spotlights an uptick for the UK retail and hospitality industry in relation to the Euro 2024 match between England and Denmark.

“Overall, footfall rose by +5.5% in all UK retail destinations with high streets leading the charge with a +11.8% rise in activity week on week likely boosted by the warmer weather and football fever as people headed to local pubs and bars to enjoy the England game. This was particularly noticeable from the afternoon and evening period with footfall rising by an average of +25% from 2pm – 11pm, when compared to the week before.
"Office locations within the city saw the greatest uplift during this period with footfall rising by an average of +25.4% compared with a rise of +18.4% in Central London as a whole.
"Latest footfall trends from MRI Software highlight the positive impact which the latest England game has had on towns and cities providing the evening and night time economy with a boost in visitors and trade.”
