Matt Compton joins Screwfix in Director role

News has reached the Insight DIY offices that Matt Compton, former head of Gardening at Homebase has left and joined Screwfix in a director role.

Homebase has appointed Jon Kemp to replace Compton. Kemp moved to be gardening/DIY trading director from a similar role in 'big ticket' items at Homebase.

Screw fix commented, "We can confirm that Matt Compton joined Screwfix in January as director of commercial strategy and planning."

Kingfisher-owned Screwfix chief executive officer Andrew Livingstone is former Wyevale Garden Centres chief operations officer.
