Kidderminster Homebase to Close This Year
Twenty-three employees at Kidderminster Homebase have been told that their store is scheduled to close before Christmas.
The store, located on Spennells Valley Road, has been placed into clearance/closure mode and will shut on 20th December.
The store survived the initial round of store closures which was announced back in August 2018, when Homebase announced its intention to ask shareholders and creditors to vote on the company entering into a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA).
The vote passed and Homebase commenced a turnaround plan to save the business, including closing loss-making stores and negotiating rents with landlords.
A Homebase spokesman said: "I can confirm the store is closing with the last day of trading set for December 20.
"The 23 Homebase store colleagues who work at the store have been informed and a consultation process is ongoing."
