JYSK Opens Three Italian Stores In One Day

• JYSK reaches over 100 stores in Italy with three openings on the same day

On Friday 11 April at 9:30 am, a new chapter was written in JYSK Italy’s history. With the opening of three new stores on the same day in Olbia, L’Aquila and Nocera Superiore, JYSK Italy now totals 102 stores.

All three stores opened simultaneously at 9:30 am, marking the largest single-day opening event in JYSK Italy’s history, which began in 2009.

“It is fantastic for JYSK to surpass 100 stores in Italy, and it was a great pleasure to witness this historic moment from the store in Olbia. JYSK is growing in Italy, and we see significant potential to expand with even more JYSK stores,” says President & CEO of JYSK, Rami Jensen, and continues:

“With today’s openings, JYSK is now present in all 20 regions of Italy, reaching an important milestone in our ambition to be close to our customers. I am truly proud on behalf of the entire team in Italy, who are doing a remarkable job.”

Even though this was a record-breaking day for store openings in Italy, the team is already focused on what’s next.

The biggest opening day in JYSK Italy’s history

With the three latest store openings, JYSK now operates 102 stores in Italy. The historic day was attended by the Danish Consul in Sardinia.

“When I started at JYSK in 2017, we had 46 stores in Italy. Today, we have passed 100, and that is a significant moment for me and my colleagues,” says Country Director for JYSK Italy, Cesare Bailo, and continues:

“We have achieved a strong market position, and customer satisfaction is high. But there is still work to be done, especially when it comes to brand awareness. New stores play an important role in this, and we have ambitious plans for the future.”

If everything goes according to plan, JYSK expects to have opened 16 new stores by the end of the 2024/25 financial year which is on 31 August – the highest number in a single year in Italy.
