John Colley leaves Hobbycraft after only two months

Retail Week has broken the news that John Colley, boss of Hobbycraft has stepped down from his role, only two months into his tenure.

Colley, ex. B&Q and Screwfix left his job as CEO of Majestic Wine in April to take up the role at Hobbycraft.

This afternoon a spokesperson from Hobbycraft said:  ‘After a short period as CEO John Colley has decided to move on and he goes with our good wishes. The business continues to trade strongly ahead of last year and of budget, and has a strong management team in place. We will announce shortly who will assume leadership of the business. We remain very confident about the future.’
