Introducing The FEATHR x Joanna Charlotte Cherry Blossom Wallpaper Collection
Surrender to the calm and serenity elicited by a Japanese aesthetic with FEATHR’s exciting new Cherry Blossom wallpaper collection from contemporary artist Joanna Charlotte. Joanna’s artistic impetus comes from her need to convey her reverence and love of the natural world within her artistic pieces. Combined with this inherent love of her natural surroundings, her creativeness often leans heavily on the cultural influences of Japan, be it through colour choices or design motif.
Inspired by the sensation of sitting under a full canopy of delicate Sakura blooms, the stunning new Cherry Blossom wallpaper collection is a celebration of both new life and renewed growth that each springtime yields.
Cherry Blossom is available in 14 elegant tones, including a luxurious gold metallic finish, that sit perfectly within any modern interior.

When creating pieces of art, Joanna expresses her intrinsic need for an emotional connection, both human and environmental: “for me art is about human connection and communicating energy or an emotion. When I create art for myself it is about my relationship with nature and my environment and I hope that comes across”.
Cherry Blossom wallpaper embodies this very notion with the juxtaposing emotions it provokes - a sensation of peacefulness which calms yet energises at the same time.
The luxury wallpaper collection focuses on the elegance of the Sakura bloom. Joanna’s signature cherry blossom motif embodies the zen and sophisticated ambience created when introducing a Japanese aesthetic into a modern home. Combining the feminine properties of Sakura blooms with the rhythmic pattern of branches descending downwards is the epitome of Chinoiserie chic design.
Cherry Blossom draws the eye with its original composition. Tree boughs suspend gracefully from the ceiling canopy and undulate gently down towards a midway point, creating a unique focal perspective. This stunning pattern disposition is deeply rooted in her love of Japanese ideology. She reflects : “in my opinion Japnese art seems to have the same reverence for nature but it is the composition used in Japanese art that I love so much. It is the very considered use of negative space. The simplicity that lets the focal point of the picture sing out”.
Cherry Blossom encourages the eye upwards, aggrandising a space. Furniture sits perfectly uninterrupted below whilst Sakura blossom fills the typical void wallspace above with delicate Chinoiserie floral stems. Joanna extols this unique perspective - “I like that the composition trails down from above, like being under the canopy, I think it gives a nurturing feel.”
FEATHR x Joanna Charlotte Cherry Blossom wallpaper collection is available in a beautiful array of 14 colourways. This design choice reflects Joanna's sensitivity to the environment: “just as the blossom's appearance changes through the day with the changing light I love that the wide range of colours have such a different feel. The gold has that magical and opulent feel, like the blossom is illuminated by lanterns at night time".
