Homebase Becomes Latest Retail Partner of BiKBBI

Homebase

It was announced at the BiKBBI Conference yesterday that Homebase has become a Retail Installation Standards Partner of The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom &  Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) – the latest high-profile and respected national retailer to join BiKBBI’s Standards initiative.

The partnership will see Homebase’s national network of recommended installers becoming independently accredited by BiKBBI, which includes the management of installer compliance, as well as supporting them to connect with new installation specialists across the UK.

BiKBBI has a responsibility to develop and publish installation standards, whilst providing learning & development opportunities for installers. It operates a CPD programme of learning for members, which is sponsored by Blum, as well as the provision of a number of risk reducing financial and insurance solutions to protect members, partners and the customers they serve.

BiKBBI’s retail support, underpinned by the management of compliance, including gas, electrical, insurance and H&S, see’s the organisation enter a “new phase of growth” and “a raised retail focus” according to its CEO Damian Walters.

Damian McGloughlin, CEO at Homebase commented on the partnership by saying: “Partnering with BiKBBI is an exciting move for Homebase, supporting our ambition to create and deliver a unique service for our customers in kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms. We are accelerating our turnaround strategy, investing in our brand and product range, and this is one of the many ways we’re working with partners to provide our customers with the best possible service.”

Damian Walters added: “We are delighted that Homebase have joined the initiative – it’s a great brand with big KBB ambitions. These are changing times for the industry – BiKBBI is at the forefront of supporting positive change and we’re delighted that the very well respected brand of Homebase have joined the family”.
