Home Bargains Opens in Former Homebase and Wickes Stores

Home Bargains has opened a number of new stores in recent weeks, including one in Macclesfield and one in Leicester.
Macclesfield
The Macclesfield store is located in a former Homebase unit on Lyme Green Retail and Business Park. The 26,000 sq ft store joins retailers including Bensons for Beds, Currys, Matalan, Next and Poundstretcher.
40 new jobs have been created at the new store which has benefited from over £1m in investment from both Home Bargains and private commercial property
developer and investment management firm, Orbit Developments.
Home Bargains' Operations Director, Joe Morris, said: "We're thrilled to be launching our first store in Macclesfield and look forward to welcoming customers through the doors.
"Lyme Green Retail Park will be a great location for us and we're proud to be able to offer local people top-branded goods at exceptionally low prices."
Leicester
The new Leicester store is located in St George's Retail Park, where it joins Wren Kitchens, Tapi Carpets and Laura Ashley, among others.
The former 26,000 sq ft Wickes branch underwent an £800,000 refurbishment and created 60 new jobs for locals.
