Thousands of industry professionals cast their votes in the first half of the year through a process which saw just five brands shortlisted for the Corporate Social Responsibility Award, with GROHE beating the fierce competition.
Over the last year, GROHE has made several notable actions when it comes to supporting social causes. As part of the LIXIL brand, GROHE supports in the fight against the global sanitation and hygiene crisis via LIXIL’s and UNICEF’s “Make A Splash!” partnership, with GROHE’s “Energy for Life” campaign dedicated to raising funds to support those in need get access to better hygiene and sanitation facilities. The GIVE programme provides a dedicated education platform for aspiring plumbers and installers in developing communities, providing them with the foundations and skills needed to enter a fulfilling career and lifestyle.
Elsewhere, sustainability and positive environmental impact is a core value at GROHE and is intertwined throughout their core business values and initiatives. In February 2022, GROHE took part in a joint waterway clean-up with environmental organisation everwave, resulting in 30 tons of waste being removed from the Bočac Reservoir in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The activity was the direct result from GROHE’s successful “Made for your water” campaign, where GROHE pledged to collect one kilo of waste from European waters for every GROHE Blue Home purchased between the campaign dates. Most recently, GROHE has succeeded in their initiative to drastically reduce the use of plastic packaging and has removed all unnecessary plastics from their packaging as of January 2022, helping to eliminate over 30 million pieces of plastics annually since their ‘Less Plastic’ initiative launched in 2018.
