GROHE Wins 'Sustainable Supplier Of The Year' Award

  • GROHE has been announced as the winner of the ‘Sustainable Supplier of the Year’ category at the debut Ireland Trade Bathroom Awards 2024. 
  • GROHE continues to fund campaigns, product development, and research into initiatives that support with global issues around sustainability, circularity, and education with the view to create a positive impact globally.

GROHE, a leading global brand for complete bathroom solutions and kitchen fittings, was announced as the winner of the ‘Sustainable Supplier of the Year’ category at the debut Ireland Bathroom Trade Awards ceremony, hosted at Titanic Belfast on Friday 23rd February 2024.

The awards have been initiated with an aim to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements and contributions of businesses and professionals within the Irish bathroom trade sector. With a diverse array of categories, ranging from top retailers to innovative product designers, the event showcased the best of the industry.

Homing in on those working tirelessly for a positive change, the Sustainable Supplier of The Year category sought to recognise businesses that go above and beyond to improve their environmental impact with sustainability minded business initiatives that provides tangible results. 

Standing for quality, technology, design, and sustainability, GROHE actively researches and actions methods of bringing meaningful products to market, while guaranteeing they leave behind a healthy planet for future generations.

GROHE’s sustainable initiatives go beyond their product offering and are intertwined throughout their core business values. In April 2020, GROHE became one of the first leading manufacturers for full bathroom solutions and kitchen fittings to achieve carbon-neutral production.

As part of its carbon strategy, GROHE intends to pursue the proven three-pronged approach of “avoid, reduce, compensate”, and increase its energy efficiency every year by its own means, thereby reducing the share of compensation. This is with the overall aim to achieve net-zero carbon emissions from housing and lifestyle solutions as well as operations by 2050.

GROHE has revealed 2024 as the market launch of its first water-recycling shower GROHE Everstream. With the launch of its water-recycling shower, GROHE revolutionises the showering experience while actively contributing to the conservation of water and energy resources. This innovative product expands GROHE's already diverse portfolio, further making sustainable choices readily accessible.
