GROHE Rapid SLX Installation System Awarded Quiet Mark Certification

In 2016 GROHE’s Rapid SL flushing system became the first and only installation system in the bathroom industry to be awarded the sought-after Quiet Mark seal of approval. Now, the new and improved SLX system, which has been designed to cater to the ever increasing range of rimless toilets entering the market and the steady growth of shower toilets also infiltrating the sector, has been awarded the very same recognition.

Quiet Mark is an independent and nationally approved scheme with a key mission to drive awareness and support the reduction of noise-related issues in our everyday living environments. Following a thorough review of the GROHE Rapid SLX system and its noise reports by Quiet Mark’s expert team of acousticians, the product was deemed eligible to be certified as Quiet Mark Approved. This is largely due to the dual-flush cistern with GROHE’s Whisper® quiet water technology, which significantly reduces noise of the flush to help stop the sound travelling through the walls and ensure the bathroom remains a private, personal space.

The Rapid SLX is a concealed support frame with flushing cistern for wall hung toilets, increasingly growing in popularity for minimalist, modern bathroom design. Hidden behind the wall, the system offers state-of-the-art plumbing solutions for the bathroom. Thanks to a generous opening behind the ceramic that provides access to the water and power connections, the Rapid SLX provides a plumberfriendly solution for future-proofing bathroom design that will help reduce both cost and time of additional upgrades later down the line. The system is the perfect fit for hygienic rimless wall hung toilets and can also facilitate the retrofit of a shower toilet at a later date, taking into consideration how family homes might need to adapt in years to come without extensive structural renovations and additional investments. Features include an integrated flow manager allowing for simple adjustment of water flow and integrated electric socket which facilitates easy plug-and-play installation for shower toilets. Designers and specifiers will also have peace of mind in knowing that the Rapid SLX fully supports GROHE’s slim flush plates, which will provide a sleek, sophisticated finish to a project.

Shower toilets continue to grow across all sectors in the UK market with continued projection to do so over coming years, making flexible installation systems such as the GROHE Rapid SLX an ever more logical solution. From an inclusivity perspective, this product category is by far one of the most innovative and accessible around due to the features that promote intimate wellbeing, hygiene and optimise independence in the bathroom for less able users; from automatic flush and lid opening and closing, to personalised app-controlled washing and drying functions.

Elina Enqvist-Twomey, Category Manager at GROHE UK comments “We know that the Quiet Mark symbol is trusted by consumers and is an accolade only awarded following rigorous testing and approval from accredited acoustic experts. In the bathroom, a space many are now looking to as a sanctuary and place of wellbeing and relaxation, the need and demand for quiet performing products is of even greater importance. We are delighted to have not one but two of our innovative bathroom solutions recognised by the scheme. As a brand, we really understand the value that quiet products can have in supporting a better, healthier environment in our home, living and work spaces and we will continue to cater to this demand where possible in our product offering.”
