Leading global bathroom and kitchen brand, GROHE is joining a panel of ‘game-changing circular economy manufacturers’ for an insightful panel discussion curated by environmental consultants, 540 WORLD at Futurebuild on Wednesday 2nd March.
Karl Lennon, Leader, BU Projects – A&D, LIXIL EMENA will cover GROHE’s successful launch of its first Cradle to Cradle® Certified Gold Level range of products; the components of which can be endlessly reused and recycled.
The panel discussion entitled ‘Landmark Case Study: The first UK Cradle to Cradle Certified® materials retrofit showcasing ten materials pioneering regenerative interior design’ will explore a private health clinic retrofit in London, designed consciously for a harm-free future through Cradle to Cradle® principles and materials.
Ebru Bircan, GROHE Leader Marketing Activation UK, LIXIL, comments: “Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at GROHE and pioneering Cradle to Cradle Certified® Gold Level products has allowed us to take the next step in our ambitious plan to drive towards a circular economy. Thinking about the lifespan of our products is important to us, and we’ve created supporting initiatives such as ensuring replacement parts are available for at least 10 years after a product is discontinued. This, coupled with our plastic-free packaging initiative, signals a change that is happening industry-wide. Karl has some great insights to share with the 540 WORLD panel and real-world examples of how circular products can be utilised on projects.”
Karl will be joined by chair, Chaline Church, founding partner of 540 World and fellow panellists, Samantha Dawe, marketing director EMEA at Shaw Contract, Everina Setyawati, innovation manager at Royal Mosa and Andrew Savile, architect and director at Low Impact Ltd for Magna Glaskeramik.
