Dobbies Gloucester Opens New EV Charging Bays With GRIDSERVE

Dobbies Gloucester GRIDSERVE
  • Six charging bays now available for Dobbies customers in Gloucester
  • GRIDSERVE and Dobbies partner to offer customers fast and reliable charging facilities
  • More locations planned for Dobbies stores across UK

Dobbies’ Gloucester store has opened six new electric vehicle (EV) charging bays for its customers in its car park at Bath Road.

Delivered in partnership with GRIDSERVE, the bays will include two High Power charging bays, and four medium power charging bays. The two GRIDSERVE Electric Retail Hub chargers allow four cars to charge at once at Medium Power speeds, giving EV drivers time to explore the garden centre and other amenities. There are two High Power chargers, charging one car at a time, for a quick top up.

Dobbies partnership with GRIDSERVE Electric Retail Hub is a long-term partnership between the charging company and garden centre to increase the number of High Power charging locations across the UK.

To make it as easy as possible for customers to charge their EV, the Dobbies Gloucester Electric Retail Hub features CCS and CHAdeMO connectors, accepts contactless payment, and provides real-time status updates to a myriad of popular EV charging maps.

Matthew Urbanowicz, Manager for Dobbies, said: “We’re glad to be offering our customers a much-needed, sustainable amenity with our new charging stations.

“As more drivers are switching to electric vehicles, we are delighted to be opening the charging hub in Gloucester to provide the local community with easy to access affordable and fast EV charging.”

Rebecca Trebble, Chief Customer Experience Officer at GRIDSERVE said: “We are thrilled to open another Electric Retail Hub with Dobbies. Fast and reliable charging at convenient locations is what is needed to give drivers the confidence to switch to electric. We look forward to welcoming all EV drivers to this great location.”
