Dobbies Appoints New CFO
At the end of May, Dobbies appointed Anthony Liam Grace as its new chief finance officer following the departure of Lynne Gilder in March.
The 61 year old, Grace, was previously a director of Dawson Holdings plc, an information supply company that operates through Dawson News, distributing journals and books to libraries as well as wholesaling UK magazines and newspapers, and Dawson Media, which provides newspapers and magazines to airlines, rail operators, and hire car companies.
Term loan renewal
The appointment comes at a time when the industry awaits the news of how Dobbies will renew its £225m term loan facility which was extended to 28th February 2023 from its original maturity date of 22 July 2022.
At the end of last year, the company said, 'based on the progress made to date, the strength of current trading, advice received from external specialists and illiquidity in external debt markets, the directors are confident that there are realistic prospects for a full refinancing to be concluded well in advance of the revised 28th of February 2023 maturity date.'
