Chichester revealed as latest Bunnings conversion
It's been announced this evening that the Homebase store on Discovery Park, Barnfield Drive, Chichester will close on 6th November, as work commences on its conversion to a new Bunnings Warehouse store, which will open later this year.
The new home improvement and garden store will employ an additional 39 full and part-time team members, and continues the momentum of establishing the Bunnings Warehouse format across the UK.
The seven Bunnings stores now open and trading include the following (click on links for full address and details):-
- St.Albans - Griffiths Way
- St.Albans - Hatfield Way
- Hemel Hempstead - London Road
- Milton Keynes - Snowdon Drive
- Folkestone - Park Farm Road
- Broadstairs - Westwood Gateway Retail Park
- Sittingbourne (Kent)
The stores either being converted or yet to be converted ;-
- Basildon Vange (Essex)
- Weston-super-mare (Avon)
- Harlow (Essex)
- Rotherham (South Yorkshire)
- Basingstoke (Hampshire)
- Rochdale (Greater Manchester)
- Chichester (West Sussex)

Bunnings, the leading retailer of home improvement and garden products in Australia and New Zealand, acquired Homebase for £340million in February 2016 – and plans to invest a further £500million building a new Bunnings business in the UK and Ireland over the next three to five years.
