Bunnings to open huge new store in Orange, NSW
Australian press is reporting that Bunnings is preparing to open a huge new and improved store in north Orange, New South Wales.
Over $31 million has been invested in the store, which has seen its staff headcount increase from 100 at the original warehouse, to over 170.
The store has undergone a complete upgrade and key areas have been expanded to ensure that customers can walk away with goods on the day, rather than having to wait for orders to be delivered to store several days later.
The space allocated to home goods is understood to have doubled in size, while the undercover nursery has expanded to four times its original size.
The indoor timber section now offers the widest range in the Central West region, and is three times bigger than it was previously.
Jason Bootsma, who runs the new complex, said: “I’m pumped and the team is pumped - I just want to get it open to the customers because we’re so close to finished,”
“Over the past three weeks employees have filled the store with over $8 million worth of stock.
“It’s not just an upgrade of the store, it’s an upgrade of the products.”
Mr Bootsma said that the new store will be “tradies heaven”, adding, “We have a fully enclosed trade yard which is also twice the size it was before which gives us an infinite range for construction - everything is just big.”
The store will be officially opened at 6:30am on Wednesday 15th June, by Australian former professional rugby league footballer and coach, Brad Fittler
