Bunnings Launches Grid Connect For Smart Home Control

Bunnings has launched a platform to control its range of smart home technology.

The Grid Connect app was launched back in July, and serves as the home ecosystem for all compatible devices sold by Bunnings.  It is available on iOS and Android and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

The app functions in the same way as the IKEA Home smart app, which is compatible with IKEA's own range of smart home products.  

Bunnings sells an array of Grid Connect compatible products, including lighting, fans and security products, among others.  These products can be paired with the app, enabling users to monitor and operate Grid-enabled products from anywhere in the world, or be used to control the system from within the home. 

Grid Connect-enabled power outlets, adaptors and switches can also be used to control non-smart products within the home.
