Building Supplies Online Launches Garden And Outdoor Categories
In anticipation of the busy spring market, Building Supplies Online has launched two new categories covering paving, garden and outdoor products. Aimed at professional landscapers, commercial gardening contractors and individual consumers, Building Supplies Online is able to offer a comprehensive range that fulfils all requirements, while satisfying both contemporary and traditional tastes.
In line with Building Supplies Online’s policy of offering premium quality products at trade prices, it has partnered with Marshalls and Tarmac Building Products to supply a comprehensive range of paving and decorative aggregates available in bulk bags. These are complemented by a broad range of fencing, tools and maintenance materials to complete the landscaping offer. Responding to the time challenges of modern life, Building Supplies Online has also included easy care items, such as composite decking and artificial grass.
Reflecting the current trends for outdoor living, Building Supplies Online has collaborated with Forest Garden to supply an extensive range of decorative fencing, garden structures, furniture and summerhouses. For committed gardeners, the collection includes greenhouses, raised beds and cold frames.
Mark Wolfe, Building Supplies Online’s Head of Buying said, “Our appeal is that online purchases with direct delivery to site provide major time savings, certainty and convenience for our busy customers. So the lack of these outdoor categories was a major gap in our offering and one that we have worked hard to remedy. Working with our suppliers, we have tried to anticipate our customers’ priorities, to provide a truly comprehensive range that is of the highest quality but at a fair price.”
This launch is part of a broader initiative for 2019, which will see a series of new categories introduced across the year and the expansion of existing ones. With a target to double revenues in 2019, Building Supplies Online is also undertaking a complete review of all existing categories to ensure that each is optimised to meet its trade customers’ requirements, in terms of choice and cost competiveness.
Mark Wolfe concluded, “Following our strong performance in 2018, we have an ambitious commercial strategy for 2019 and our focus is to ensure that what we offer is best-in-class. We are working with suppliers to round out gaps in provision, add complementary or ancillary items and introduce interesting new brands and products at the most competitive prices.”
