B&Q to open small-format London store

B&Q Holloway Road

B&Q is to open its first small-format high street store next month, on London's Holloway Road.

The store is targeting the 'home improver' with the new style store and will sell tools and hardware items. No TradePoint counter, building materials or wood-cutting services will be available.

A second small-format store will open in March in Leyton, east London.

A B&Q Spokesperson said:-

“On Friday 10 March, B&Q will open a smaller format store in Central London at 482-488 Holloway Road.  The trial store will be just over 3,000 sq ft in size, and will provide customers with an offer focused on home décor, repair and maintenance, with a suite of supporting services. B&Q will also enable customers access to its full range of over 35,000 products via Home Delivery and Click & Collect, all at the same great national prices.”
