B&Q to open in new Liverpool Shopping Park
B&Q has revealed plans for a 49,000 sq ft store, as part of the new £100m Liverpool Shopping Park development, being completed by Developer Derwent Group.
The project will transform the old retail park into Liverpool Shopping Park, which will includes dozens of new shops and which should create 3,000 new jobs for the local area..
B&Q Unit Manager Paul Tym says: “Because the new store will be larger, we’ll be providing more jobs for the local community as well as training current staff members on how to deliver the new services. Overall it’s a great move for our colleagues, our customers and our community. The store will be bigger, brighter and better than ever, which ties in nicely with the Liverpool Shopping Park ethos.
“We’ll have a full range of B&Q home improvement products and services: from kitchens and bathrooms, to paint and homewares, as well as tools and building materials, and everything needed to create, maintain and enjoy your garden.”
The store will have a new kitchen and bathroom showroom, paint mixing services and a TradePoint centre.
David Lyons, CEO of Derwent Group also said: “We are delighted to welcome the new B&Q flagship store to Liverpool Shopping Park.”
