B&Q Reintroduces Design Service in 174 stores
B&Q have announced that as of today, following a trial of social distancing measures at Nottingham, Stockport and Gillingham stores, it is reintroducing kitchen, bathroom and bedroom design services at 174 stores.
Whilst B&Q Showrooms have been open for browsing and to purchase items to takeaway on the day since stores re-opened, the design service has remained temporarily suspended since Tuesday 24 March for new customers. During that time, B&Q has worked to put in place a service that has appropriate social distancing measures to keep colleagues and customers safe, in line with social distancing measures throughout the rest of the stores.
As well as 2 metre floor markers and arrows signposting one-way routes around the Showroom area, the planning areas are cordoned off and hand-sanitisation stations have been installed for customers’ use. In the planning area, colleagues have an allocated desk and customers sit 2m away during the planning consultation while the colleague designs their space.
Customers can book their design appointment online, in store and by phoning the store.
With the reintroduction of the design service, as well as being able to browse the stunning and affordable range of 25 GoodHome kitchens launched in November 2019, customers are now able to plan their project with the help of our Showroom team. B&Q is still the only place where home improvers can get everything they need - from kitchen cabinets and flooring, to lighting and tiling - to complete their kitchen project, all under one roof.
B&Q continue to ask all our customers to follow the Government’s social distancing guidelines and to shop responsibly only when they need to.
